Charmaine graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London with a Masters degree in Osteopathic Medicine (M.Ost). It is the oldest osteopathic school and runs the largest osteopathic clinic in Europe including various community clinics such as expectant mums, children’s, sports and within a GP surgery. It was amongst the first establishments to gain accreditation by the General Osteopathic Council.
Charmaine has worked in clinics in London, Southampton and Strabane. She continued to gain experience treating a wide variety of patients, including office/manual workers to professional musicians and sports people. She uses a structural approach which incorporates a biomechanical assessment of the area in question. Charmaine also employs a wide variety of techniques including calling on her experience as a qualified sports massage therapist. Western Medical Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture are also used to help alleviate symptoms and prevent re-occurrence. Charmaine is a full member of the General Osteopathic Council, Institute of Osteopathy and undertaken post graduate cranial osteopathy training with the Sutherland Cranial College (www.sutherlandcranialcollege.co.uk) and Visceral Osteopathy with the Barral Institute (www.barralinstitute.co.uk)
